Focus on the Solution: don’t dwell on the problem or what went wrong,; brainstorm solutions
Focus on the Situation as Temporary: Most situations don't last forever. Your feelings will change and soften over time
Focus on what to do next: Shift your focus to your next possible step. Take action and move forward!
Focus on Options: think of what options are available instead of making excuses
Focus on Positive Thoughts: Reframe negative thoughts to positive ones. Think about the good parts or what good could come from a bad situation.
Counselor News
This week during our College and Career time we participated in an "outside the box" activity helping students gain awareness of various careers. This activity was called "NOVAK" also known as Bingo. The NOVAK sheets included various careers from chefs to aerospace engineers. If you want to challenge your students, ask them what an appraiser does!
