Good Morning Novak Students and Families!
It is a great day at Novak! Please review the information below.
Dates to Remember
December 1 - End of session 2 (Graduation Walks)
December 4 - Start of session 3 - 2:18 PM Dismissal
December 21 & 22 - 1:30 PM Dismissal
December 25 - January 9 - Winter Break
January 10 - School Resumes
We know the Winter is a tough time. Please ensure students are setting their alarms early enough to be at school by 8:40 AM. These are life skills that will help them long term!
December's PBIS focus is Compassion.
Empathy + Action = Compassion.
In SEL we will explore empathy, which means putting yourself in someone else's shoes and trying to feel what that person feels. From there we will explore how empathy moves us into action in order to alleviate a problem or suffering. Compassion is when you SEE someone in need, CARE about their feelings, and DO something to show you care.
